How Often Should Adult Soccer Players Train?
What a sustainable weekly training load looks like for adult soccer players with jobs, and why two sessions plus a match works.

Two quality sessions beats five rushed ones
For players 21 to 35 with a job, two structured sessions plus one competitive match is the sweet spot: enough stimulus to improve, enough recovery to stay available.
What each session should contain
A conditioning block (strength, speed, agility), technical repetition under pressure, and a game-realistic phase. If a session is only scrimmaging, it's a game, not training.
- Session 1 — heavier physical load, technical work
- Session 2 — sharpness, tactical shape, match preparation
- Weekend — compete
Consistency is the variable that matters
Twelve consistent weeks at two sessions will change your game more than an intense fortnight followed by a month off. That's why the club runs the same slot every week: Monday and Wednesday, 8:00–10:00 PM.
